When a continuous flow of time and space is photographed and visualised in one place, the chronological temporality of the image disappears and the causality of the narrative is lost. Also, the perspective that has supported two-dimensional art for more than 2,000 years is shattered, and even a single point in time is altered. In addition, the shapes of materials composed of lines and planes are disintegrated, and the memories of events are lost. At the result, the reflected image of reality exists in a state of chaos where the original geometry is disintegrated. Computing such a chaotic image is to synthesise and reinterpret the chaotic concept of time and space that exists as particles (pixels) that have been disintegrated. As M. Eliade argues, the breakdown of order and the return to chaotic time is an act of creating "new forms and meanings" in a chaotic situation through the "cycle of time". Just as the world was created from darkness in the beginning of time, the chaotic image of everything returned by the artist produces an image that is different from the replication and reproduction of the object. The image visualised by this process is a 'time image' that shows a cross-section of the world we live in, a world that is constantly changing from moment to moment. It is only through the puntum of the viewer that they are able to stare at, respond to, and create something out of the chaotic images, which are so fragmented in form and perception that even the artist's creative intentions are objectified. The meaning of the abstracted image in their consciousness is not just a reproduction of reality, but an extension of their own recreated perception. The development of visual mechanics has freed the visual arts from the limitations of descriptive reproduction. This forces us to think differently, which is what the new age demands. Since thought is based on form, the deconstruction of form frees thought, which in turn leads to the expansion of visual perception. Only when we have created our own ideological image, which has no original source, do we escape from Plato's cave.

나의 작품은 음양의 원리를 기본으로 하고 있으며, 원리에서는 『동쪽은 나무를, 서쪽은 금속을 의미한다. 본인의 작업은 이 두 존재의 모호한 의미를 헤겔의 변증법을 바탕으로 표현하려는 것이다.,역사에 따르면 나무와 금속은 완전히 반대다.,두 문화의 뿌리는 다르지만, 그러한 문화적 이질감은 우리가 한계를 뛰어넘어 새로운 문화를 만들어낼 수 있는 지혜를 찾도록 해 주었다.,이러한 변화는 역사와 자연의 법칙의 발전함을 의미하는 것이다.

2015년 1월부터 12월까지 촬영된 국립공주박물관의 사계절을 보여 주는 전시이다. 

국립공주박물관의 사계

'황제 – 로마 제국의 성군과 폭군'은 열 명의 로마 황제들의 초상으로, 고대인들이 남긴 텍스트를 상징적으로 이미지화한 것이다. 역사는 반복된다는 명제를 전제할 때, 로마의 이야기는 우리가 사는 이야기인 동시에 미래이다. 이 프로젝트를  통해 나는 지금과는 다른 미래를 바라볼 수 있는 하나의 스펙트럼을 제시하고자 한다.

황제 – 로마 제국의 성군과 폭군

이 전시는 디지털 영상을 기반으로 하여 기존의 회화나 아날로그 이미지 세계 너머에 있는 또 다른 시각예술의 세계를 보여준다. <탈주와 노마드적 사유>라는 이름으로 진행되는 이 프로젝트에서 작가는 시각 예술의 시·공간적 한계를 극복하기 위해 연구했던 결과이기도 하다.

탈주와 노마드적 사유

한국의 아티스트 김태근의 초대 사진전 ‘东方和西方的融合’이 M50 Art Space와  大韩民国驻上海总领事馆韩国文化院에서 동시에 열린다.  2013년 한국 체험 행사의 하나로 진행되는 이 전시는 역량있는 아티스트를 중국에 소개함으로써 한 중 문화 교류에 일조하는 의미있는 전시이다.  
10월과 11월에 전시되는 아티스트 김태근 사진의 특징은 역사적, 철학적인 주제의 표현이다. 그의 사진은 동양의 5원소설 즉, ‘木’, ‘火’, ‘土’, ‘鐵’, ‘水’의 상극, 상생의 관계에 근거하는데, 그 중에서 ‘木’과 ‘鐵’의 상극적 관계를 다루고 있다.  
그의 사진은 ‘동양’과 ‘서양’이 가지고 있는 근본적인 이질성(異質性)과 서로 통하지 못하는 한계를 헤겔의 변증법으로써 극복하고 있다. 문화의 뿌리가 다르고 또한 모든 생활 습관이 이질적인 두 세계가 서로 화합하고 새로운 문화를 창조하고 발전시켜 가는 현재 세계의 모습을 ‘正+反=合’의 논리로 설명하는 것이 그의 사진 세계이다.

이미정 갤러리에서는 지난 6일부터 11월 30일까지 2016 기획전시 ‘가을! 바람이 분다’ 전을 연다.
이번 기획전은 가을을 주제로 한 전시회로, 공주의 지역작가와 대전, 그리고 세종시에 거주하는 21명 작가들의 작품이 전시됐다. 이번 전시에는 서양화, 한국화, 민화, 일러스트 그리고, 판화작품 등을 전시, 여러 장르의 작품을 한 공간에서 감상할 수 있는 기회를 제공했다.

기획전시 가을! 바람이 분다

국립아시아문화전당 복합 3관의 <이 곳, 저 곳, 모든 곳 : 유라시아의 도시> 전이다. 인간의 시지각을 자극하는 다양한 오디오 비쥬얼 작품부터 아시아 정체성을 질문하는 역사적 선례들과 신화로부터 호환한 현재와 미래의 상상들을 볼 수 있다.

새로운 유라시아 프로젝트 - 이 곳, 저 곳, 모든 곳 : 유라시아의 도시

2015년 인천배다리 전시에 참가했던 한국 호주 예술가들이 갖는 두 번 째 국제포토미디어 아트 교류전이다. 

2회 국제 포토미디어 아트 교류전  - 현상과 탐색 -

한 점의 사진 작품을 대하며 회화와 조각을 서술하는 미학적 요소를 적용하거나 실험적 또는 아방가르드적인 성향의 예술작품이란 평을 하는 것은, 현재의 컨템포러리 아트를 접하는 우리에게 그리 낮선 부분이 아닐 것이다. 그렇지만 사진은 여전히 기계에 의존하여 작품을 제작하는 매체의 특수 영역 안에 머물러 있다. 또한, 첨단 디지털 시대임에도 사회현상을 보도형식으로 반영하고 존재하는 것들에 기인하는 제한성을 허물지 못 한 채 자연과 오브제의 형상을 복제하는 오랜 전통과 현대의 개념예술 사이에 존재한다.
디지털 기기와 관련 소프트웨어의 메가톤급 보급에 힘입어 세계적으로 방대한 분량의 사진이 소개되었고 그만큼이나 많은 사진가의 층이 형성되었다. 이러한 시점에서, 이번 한호사진작가 초청전은 서로 다른 두 문화와 사회 환경에서 아카데믹한 사진예술을 추구하며 활동하는 작가들 간의 작품교류전이라는 것에 의미를 둔다.

한․호 사진가 초대전, - 현상 그리고 탐색 -

넥스트아트미술관은 ‘오리진(Origen)과 미래’를 운영방향으로 설정하고, 전시 프로젝트에 청주의 정체성과 미래적 시각을 담아내려 하고 있다. ‘종이’는 넥스트아트미술관의 역점 기획시리즈인 ‘기록문화유산’ 전시의 첫 번째 테마로 설정한 것이며, 이를 시작으로 매년 ‘기록문화유산’의 새로운 테마를 선정하고 전시를 이어나가게 된다.
